An official launching of the TermiCam (Infrared Termite Detection System) and a signing ceremony between ISS Facility Services Sdn Bhd and TermiCam Worldwide, was held on Saturday 8th December 2007 at the Sheraton Utama Hotel.
ISS Facility Services Sdn Bhd, formerly known as ISS Thomas Cowan Sdn Bhd, is the global leader in providing Integrated Facility Services in Pest Control, Drainage and Cleaning. It has been operating in Brunei for 25 years.
Through the assistance of the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) office in Brunei, ISS Facility Services Sdn Bhd has recently formed an alliance with Termicam, an Australian company which is now the world leader and innovator in termite detection technology.
It uses the latest state of the art thermal imaging technology to find termite infestation or other problems, like water leakage, plumbing problems, and other pests, in buildings or houses.
This new technology, which is set to replace traditional ways in detecting pest existence, offers non-invasive, environment-friendly method to carry out the inspection process.
The highlight of the launch was Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between ISS Facility Services Sdn Bhd and Termicam World Wide.
Signing for ISS Facility Services , is Mr. Paul Ringo Ak Tisen, General Manager/Director witness by Christine F. Sesbreno, Sales and Marketing Manager and for TermiCam Worldwide, is Mr. David Rice, Director TermiCam WorldWide, witnessed by Ms. Josie Abdullah, Senior Business Development Manager, Austrade Brunei.
Mr. Peter Wynn, Director, Pacific International Insurance LTD was also invited to speak on TimberSure for TermiCam Termite Timber replacement warranty.
The guest of honor was Her Excellency Dr. Ruth Adler, Australian High Commissioner to Brunei.
In a span of two years time and after its first introduction, the TermiCam has been integrated in our corrective treatment. TermiCam has been valuable equipment that we have set off with our market in Pest Management especially in the Government of Brunei as such with Assurur projects, Royal Brunei Private & Confidential (RBPC) 2, Royal Guest Houses, and RBPC 5. Our team also has established rapport with private potential market in Brunei Darussalam. As thermal imaging is an effective approach of termite detection, ISS Facility Services Sdn Bhd is continuing to utilize such helpful tool to our core services.
